A fool and our money
I was reading an item in a magazine the other week about the worlds most expensive foods.Apparently,if true, there is a type of coffee called Kopi Luwak, currently trading at £53.38 for 25 grams. It would seem that the raw red coffees beans are eaten, partially digested and excreted by the Indonesian civet cat before being gently roasted, packaged as sold. Now if some mug punter wants to enjoy a cup of coffee that passed through the bowels of some large feral cat and pay serious money for it then more fool they. I must admit it did make me check the small print on the label of my jar of Gold Blend just in case this is an industry thing.

I can only assume that the sales team behind the purveyors of Kopi Luwak worked the same magic on the mandarins at the Home office who approved this...
